The Duronto Project
Our team pioneered the Government’s pilot project of setting up a First Aid Clinic in a moving train.
1/5th of a bogie was converted into a fully functioning first aid clinic operational for any injury, accident or medical emergency that could occur while traveling.
These first aid clinics were used for Duronto trains that run non-stop between the starting point and destination.
This streamlined the entire medical process as a doctor and medical team was available on board at any given time. Mumbai-Jaipur, Mumbai-Delhi and Mumbai-Indore were the Duronto trains that ran the moving clinic.
We worked on a similar project with Central Railway for Secunderabad – Delhi and Secunderabad – LTT as pilot projects with fully functioning first aid clinics.
